This update is available to all HUSQVARNA VIKING® DESIGNER DIAMOND™ sewing and embroidery machine owners. You need the Embroidery Machine Communication CD, (4D Organizer, 4D QuickFont) which came with your HUSQVARNA VIKING® DESIGNER DIAMOND™ installed on a personal computer, running Windows XP, Vista.
If you have not yet installed the Embroidery Machine Communication, insert your Embroidery Machine Communication CD, (4D Organizer, 4D QuickFont) and follow the on-screen instructions.
HUSQVARNA VIKING® DESIGNER DIAMOND™ update version 7504-5548 (Aug 3, 2010):
The new update, version 7504-5548 includes:
- Support for the new 200x200 hoop
- Support for the new cutwork needles
- 22 new stitches:
- New heirloom stitch.
- New hand look vintage stitches. Also for use in Embroidery Shaping.
- Wide decorative stitches. Also for use in Embroidery Shaping.
- Stitches for the new presser foot; Three hole Yarn Foot.
- Stitches for Join and Fold Edging Foot (to be launched in September).
- Stitches for the new presser foot; Interchangeable Open Toe foot, for Interchangeable Dual Feeder.
- Built in Designs and Fonts now refer to Robison Anton thread numbers.
- 3 blue screen situations have been corrected.
- New functions in service mode.

How to update with USB cable
- Click on the link below to download the update file. You need a file compression utility to open the file (WinZip or similar).
- Click on the .exe file to start the Update Wizard. You may get Security Warnings. Click Run to continue.
- The DESIGNER DIAMOND™ Update Wizard will start. Follow the instructions on screen.
- When the update is complete your DESIGNER DIAMOND™ will automatically restart. Estimated time for the update is 8 minutes.
How to update with USB embroidery stick
(requires version 5683-5413 or later in the machine):
- Click on the link below to dowload the update file. You need a file compression utility to open the file (WinZip or similar).
- Click on the .exe file to start the Update Wizard. You may get Security Warnings. Click Run to continue.
- The DESIGNER DIAMOND™ Update Wizard will start. Follow the instructions on screen and be sure to select "USB embroidery stick" as the update method.
- When the USB embroidery stick is prepared the Update Wizard will tell you to move it to your DESIGNER DIAMOND™, start the update and follow the instructions on the Interactive Screen.
- When the update is complete your DESIGNER DIAMOND™ will automatically restart. Estimated time for the update is 13 minutes.
